    Feb 21, 2013 883 to 1200 Conversion Did the conversion on my wifes 883. Had the jugs bored out for the bigger pistons, rejetted the carb, fiitted bigger front sprocket as stated by Dave63 (I upped the sprocket by two teeth if memory serves me correct. Straight forward, made a big difference, runs like a beauty.:thumbsup

    looking @ using the 1250 c.c. barrel kit for the new sporty 883 iron with some cams & a slight head port & polish , this bike is a 2012 model too take out to 1200 you have to buy barrels as the later 2009 & up you can not bore them out to suit as per the earlier girls there is not enough meat in the barrel, if i'am going to buy barrels i was thinking of the 1250 kit's that are aval like NHRS
